Billabong Pro 2005
Round Two of the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay 2005 started this morning on the second day of the event waiting period. Surf this morning is a little smaller at 3-4 foot, but very nice glassy waves are reeling down the Supers line up. Contest Director Mike Parsons has evaluated the wave forecast provided by Surfline.com, and the decision is to make the most of these great conditions. The four VZ wildcard qualifiers, Shaun Payne, Ian Walsh, Damien ...

Chris on Thom, Thom on Steve
These two gems via ateaseweb, Radiohead's #1 fansite. Coldplay's Chris Martin on Radiohead: "I think if you imagine Radiohead going through a jungle clearing a path, then we're the ones who are probably just criminally paving it. I always see Radiohead as the braver people." (link) And Thom Yorke's response to iTunes' briefly offering "Kid A" downloads: "vee shall make zem PAY for zer mistake. ha ha ha. they vill never get avay viz ziss. vee are verrry verrry precious about are ...

The Amish Elevator
An Amish boy and his father were visiting a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again. The boy asked, "What is this, Father?" The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is." While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in ...

Open you eye’s - Song Lyrics
Every day and every night, every sound and every sight you see Every thought and every dream, every shadow like a ghost it seems Every word you ever told, every secret that you hold within You say nothing, you say know of everything Like a river running wild, like the spirit of a child…so free But like a sonnet born to die, like every dream that you deny…it’s as shame to see And all that stands between you and me Is all you believe in! Your ...

You are…
You are the pulse that fills my heart You are the light of my courage The peace of my desire The end of all I need Trying to escape but you are my soul I need you near. I need you here. To be with you and no more else What are sounds without your laughter? Or sight without your eyes to look into? What is touch without your body? Or smell without your scent on skin? I need you near. I need you here. I’d give it all, cos you ...

Where to now?
What a day huh? Put yourselves in the shoes of the guys who woke up this morning and innocently got on the train and grimly rode to work...unaware of the mayhem that was about to break loose. Maybe you were there and you can stay in your own shoes. The ripple effect of this kind of thing is astronomical. Personally, and I think many will agree, most had forgotten about terror attacks. Since 9/11 things had pretty much simmered down. Sure ...

News!!!
So a big day for news around the world: London blasts - is it just co-incendence or is it French terrorists who are mad at losing the olympic bid and planting explosive escargot and croissants? Or for that matter, other terrorists equally as awry... (Damn, cracker word usage there. All those nights of scrabble with Grandma are paying off) Either way, the story goes, there have been 3 London bus explosions recently and today the tube shut down due ...
