Pumba Game Lodge

Well yesterday was a definate highlight in my year so far. I was shortlisted for a website deal for the Pumba Game Lodge Safari just outside of Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. As part of that deal, I got to do a free day safari at the game lodge and check out all the facilities they have to offer.

Pumba Game Lodge is a relatively new establishment, as game parks in South Africa go, but they are by …

Lil Kim Begins 1yr Jail Term

Lil Kim has been convicted of purgery and sentanced to 1 year in jail. I had to find out myself what purgery meant, so for like-minded readers, purgery refers to lying in court when under oath.

Lil ‘pinochio’ Kim was somehow involved in a shoot out in 2001 between two rival gangs which left 1 man wounded. How original.

Whilst dramatically clutching a Bible, Lil Kim said, “I testified falsely to the grand jury and during …

National Braai Day

Ah…eventually.. a public holiday that I can relate to. September 24th, is officially “National Braai Day” in South Africa. A braai (for those non-SA readers) is also known as a barbeque.

I think most would agree with me that there are few things as ‘lekka’ as a braai with your mates on a warm Saturday afternoon with a couple of beers and a good steak. Hopefully as many South African’s as possible will be joining in this fine celebration of National …

CSS Reboot

I’ve been wanting to sign up for the CSS Reboot for a while now but was nervous that the creative juices weren’t going to flow when put under pressure and I really didn’t wanna look like a muppet, well not more than I already do anyways ;)

Fortunately though, this morning the sluice-gates were opened and I’m looking forward taking part in this, my first, CSS Reboot…

Here’s a teaser of the new design… Wat you think so far?…

Life in the 1500’s

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn’t just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

Here are some facts about the 1500’s:

Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odour. Hence the custom today of carrying a …

Gillette’s trying to skin us alive

I remember when I was younger I used to watch my dad shave in the mornings, eagerly awaiting the arrival of my own facial fur. He had one of these cool razors that used those Minora blades. You’d twist a mechanism that would open this trap-door type thing on the head of the shaver, drop the Minora in and then twist the trap-door closed again and away you go.

Such a cool toy.

Later, some company I can’t recall, released the dual …
