I R HOT
Vanity Plates. The jury’s still out on this one for me personally. I’m not sure if I’d be vain enough to stick my own name on the plates but I’ve also had a good chuckle at a few really clever and original plates that have been well thought out. There are of course though, a number of pathetic examples of people who’ve tried to force the creative juices to flow and the results have been less than humorous.

Good example
- Porche 911: “IX XI”
- On a BMW X5: “STOLEN”
Bad Examples
- Badly Modified Golf: “4U2NV”
- Badly Modified Corsa: “2FAST4U”
Any examples or links to pictures of some well or badly done vanity plates?
Last week I saw a plate that said “OH FUDGE.” I can only assume it was a reference to A Christmas Story. Gave me a good laugh.
My license plate says: GAWRSH
I like to collect things with Disney’s Goofy. GOOFY was already taken, so I went with GAWRSH.
Being a Farscape fan, my second choice was FRELL. :)
I understand the Pope’s license plate reads “CUNCRCH” which should be read C U N CRCH.
Ha..! You mean the pope has a car? Or you referring to that bullet proof bread bin he rides in?
In FL we have these yellow ‘anti-abortion’ pro-life license plates, with two little stick kids on the left. I saw an all yellow Lexus, with this plate on. The license letters spelled ‘VAMPR’, and the little kids had fangs added. I somehow think this altered the original message!

The other day I saw a car covered in Disney stickers with a vanity plate that said “DZNY LVR”. I laughed.
I saw one recently in Chicago (I think) that said “Infadel.” Thought that was pretty funny.
I visited a friend, who owns a dance studio, in Ontario Canada and her plate read “2 BAILA”.

On my last trip to florida, we did see a monster truck with this plate:
YNOTBHI (Why not be high?)
I thought that was fitting the image :-)
Don’t have one yet but if I did it’s be 0txntr
I saw a black merc with 000psy. Don’t know why people get pl8s to match their cars, like BMW M5 or there’s a Honda accord that’s plate is ACCORD - c’mon so unimaginative. Tjops
I have 2 friends with vanity plates:
pntium
n1rvana
it just sais something about them, the one with pntium is a computer tech the other is a di hard nirvana fan.
I once saw a car with the plate: “Deznuts”
I hate it when people have plates specific to the vehicle they drove, but have replaced the car and kept the plates. Yesterday, I saw one that said “Impreza” on an Acura SUV. I remember seeing once recently that should have been on a BMW but wasn’t.
It is vain to use your own name, but i think in the case of
‘Mrs Wins”, she is telling us a bit about herself. Just like Matt’s Nirvana fan friend. She is saying that the Mrs (herself) Wins (won) because she got the car in the divorce…You will find the same slogan on a sign-board outside of her Malibu home, next to the intercom button of her Monaco apartment and is the new name of the yacht.
