Green Pigs
Stem cells stem cells stem cells! A world of fun for bored scientists... By using DNA from jellyfish scientist have been able to produce GREEN PIGS. ::SEE BELOW:: This is not photoshopped. Why do we need green pigs you may ask? Well it's simple, because pink piggy banks are soooo last season (despite what SOME of our readers may feel) Not really, actually the Green pigs are a tool for scientists to "show the impact of experimental drugs ...

Highway cameras
I'm sure it's similar in the rest of the world but here in South Africa we have permanent cameras situated along the highways and at traffic lights etc. These cameras are put in place to stop people from speeding along the roads or going through red lights. And it works, for about 50 meters of road or so. So the instead of cracking 200km/h down the highway now, cars instead slow down for about 10 seconds to ...

Shew, bring on the heavies!
I'm not making any real statements here, I guess I'm just wanting to raise my concerns about this issue cos recently I've been amazed at the number of natural disasters plaguing the planet!! (2005 had the highest number of natural disasters in recorded history.) On the weekend I opened the paper and on one page there were three articles: one on the depletion of fresh water reserves, one on global warming with estimates of 20 years before irreversible climate damage ...

V&A Waterfront Security
3 Weeks of holiday couldn't go by without having a single reason for ranting now could it? Hardly. So out of the 3 or 4 kak customer service experiences I had in Cape Town, by far the most infuriating was had in dealing with a member of the security staff at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

Captain Chimera Updates!!!
..."The voyage that you are about to go on will be the final one. If you succeed then the two worlds will become one, as they were before time as we know it. Cape Town 05/06
And just like that, 3 weeks of holiday has all too quickly fizzled into nothing more than memories, photographs and a maxed out overdraft. It was worth it though. Cape Town 05/06 was by far the best holiday I've had.

iPod Nano review - the black one
Holy Guacamole. I recently acquired an Apple iPod Nano and there are a few things i'd like to say... Firstly i'd like to thank my little friend Andi Rolfe for donating the ingenious little gadget. It's perfect for music lovers like me, nice one Andi. When I first received my little black package, no not the one I got at birth, this is waaaaay littler, my first impression was "Nice box". Coz it's very nicely packaged. Now having had other MP3 ...
