Anti-Rape device

Damn this brings so many hidden issues up. May I start with saying, only in Africa does the frequency of one of the proverbial “fates worse than death” give birth to a device to thwart would-be sexual offenders.

A South African inventor :: one Sonette Ehlers :: has devised a product to prevent, no actually, to cut short a rapists crime (among other things)

So this device is worn by woman and in the event of being attacked it attaches and stays attached (until surgically removed) to the attackers *ahem* appendage. It also protects the woman from STD’s and pregnancy, etc.

I say, BY TIME… unfortunate however that woman need to prepare themselves in such a manner. But alas :: third world countries and crime :: A losing battle.

I enjoyed -

Obviously these critics have never been the victims of such crimes, would they rather have the victim fill out in triplicate an order to halt all activity and file a formal complaint? This is war, these attackers are using (this is gonna sound weird) guided missiles (told you so) and in that case the victims need to bring on the nukes. Critics can be so retarded, that’s what you get from sitting on your fat @ss and being, well, critical all day. I’m behind this device all the way, in a figurative manner of course. (inuendo unintentional)

Another advantage is that attackers need surgical removal of the device, which means attackers are easily identified, which in turn means of course that the next attack they see will find them as the victim. Ok, sorry, too graphic. But this is something I think we should have had soooooooooo long ago. Think of all the cowardly little useless disgusting uncles and fathers that are finally gonna meet their match with this little devourer. I think they should give these babies away free, it’ll be the end of a lot of pain, and the beginning of a lot of punishment. Again I say, launch the nukes, catch the bad guys with their pants down. (again, unintentional, this is hard) (woops, there again)

However a few questions do present themselves with very little thought (?):

You’d assume that the attachment of this device would lead to some blood loss, problem? Possibly
Another (not my own, and I don’t really agree) is, will this not send the attacker into a frenzied violent attack causing even more damage to the victim? I’d assume the attacker would be a little busy tending to other matters.
Also, I foresee many accidents here, I mean some woman just have a few too many drinks and they get really spacey, they forget their purses, wallets, how to drive, where the trees are on the way home, etc. See where i’m going with this? Accidents may happen…

On the whole (i,m sorry, you must understand that it is impossible to avoid ambiguity here) I think this is a giant leap for womankind and big deterant to criminals. Sonette for Knobel - ess prize…
