Baked Beans can or WiFi Antenna?
Sheesh, what next! Next generation computer hardware whizz Steven Buss, An entrant to Intel’s International Science and Engineering Fair has created a WiFi antenna from an empty baked beans can. Dammit, thats gotta be a far sight cheaper than my WiFi card!
…the one he calls a “cantenna,” made from an empty baked-bean can, let him connect to his 802.11b wireless network from almost as far–a mile away.
How about them apples! Thats pretty impressive, I gotta admit. Especially considering he’s 18 years old. Love to see what this guy comes up with in 5 years time!
I can just see it now…a bunch of us geeks rushing off to the 7-11 to buy baked beans in bulk and in two weeks time there’ll be a load of farting geeks at a WiFi convention.
These inventions are really cool. I especially like the glove idea. If you think about it, it can to more than just help you improve your game. For people who suffer from arthritis or carpel tunnel syndrome, it could make using a pc a whole lot easier. Now all they have to do is making typing easier! :)
nah keeka…i’ve seen your typing…there’s only so much modern technology can accomplish :)
