Birthplace of Reality

This time’s become a distance
A valley to the horizon
The light burns out around me
Sculpting the darkness into life

I feel your arms around me
Trying to comfort me from fear
But you’re the one that needs me here
In this birthplace of reality
This is your fear

In this graveyard of creation
Death will meet you here!

Why do you shake the moon
And try wake the night?
Why do you linger and wait
For your darkness to escape the light?

Still you walk my halls and
Disturb the air with fear
Still you push at my walls
But tomorrow I’ll still be here!
