Feed Adsense or not…?
This is one particular topic that I haven’t been able to find a conclusive answer to. Some are in favor of putting adsense in their ATOM & RSS feeds and others not.
Those against it say that regular readers/subscribers to a blog feed shouldn’t have to be subjected to advertising in the feed. I can understand this point of view because guys that are regular readers, read the articles because they enjoy the content and thus subscribe to enjoy the core essence of that blog.
All good.
However, I think there’s another side to the above argument. Lets get personal for a second. The Yellow Llama isn’t a money making site. Thats not the point of this site. I’ll level with you guys, in the 6 or 7 months that the site’s been running, I’ve made just under $40. The money I’m making off the site isn’t the main reason why I have it. I have other sites that are focused on that.
To me, I am more interested in who’s visiting my site, where they’re coming from, and what they have to say about the site. I’m about the readers and giving good content that people enjoy reading.
I am very much in the habit of, if I read a good blog article, clicking on the ads. Its the least I can do. I would hope people do the same for me.
Which brings me to the point of this article….
I’m addressing all my RSS & ATOM feeders/subscribers. If I put a small, subtle adsense into my RSS & ATOM feed, would that offend you guys? More importantly, would you click on it? I really, really do appreciate all my loyal readers and I don’t wanna chase ya’ll off because you think I’m trying to make money out of you.
But if you guys enjoy the content, would you view my site any differently if I included an adsense into my feed?

I don’t mind the adsense articles at all, and very much enjoy your site. I will click on the ad links, you have a right to make money for your hard work.
