Another woman was fired for looking like a pirate
I was fired from my job as a call center retentions specialist (terrible job: I called people to tell them we were turning off their cable and harass them to pay their bills). I was fired because I scratched my cornea and ahd to wear an eye patch- which was deemed distracting and a liability! So I looked like a pirate for a week; that’s no reason to fire someone! I was a new hire, so I couldn’t fight back, but I was so depressed because I have never been fired before and had to pay my medical bills for the eye!
