This is a pretty cool invention that combines the fleeting nature of falling water and inkjet type rendering technology.
This is a waterfall that was put together using a whole bunch of valves linked to an image rendering computer system. Basically, the image rendering system scans an image and then translates that in much the same way an inkjet printer would print out an image. Only difference is, is that the inkjet printer is in this case, thousands of valves controlling the flow of water.
The water is dropped 24 feet at perfect intervals to create a falling image of water drops. It can be text, wording, pictures… anything. Combined with some funky lighting effects, it makes for a very impressive show.
