Muscle Cars Reinvented
Sure, a red Ferrari with the sun glinting ever so slightly off the hood does send chills up the back of any straight, hot blooded male. There’s something about being in the driver seat of something so beautiful and powerful and that won’t talk back or tell you take out the trash. But lately, there’s been a resurgence of something even more stimulating…something even more potently beautiful.
Before I start, I’d like to thank the boys over at Uncrate for these images & stats. Nice work lads.
Now… can you guys remember Elenor?

What about the 1968 GTO?

Both of them brilliant examples of big chunky cars with that American flavor and power that everyone came to respect and love. Those cars remain classics even today and are no doubt still postered on the walls of many car fanatics.
However, with the onset of modern technologies and the modern abilities of many companies to produce spectacular machines, some of these original beauties have been revamped for the 21st Century.
Gentlemen, I give you the Chevrolet Camaro Concept and the 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept.

Regarding the Camaro,
A combination of the 1969 Camaro, 2005 Corvette and the YF-22 fighter jet, the new Chevrolet Camaro Concept delivers killer styling, shape and stance. It boasts a 400-horsepower aluminum small-bock V-8 with Active Fuel Management technology, which shuts off four cylinders to save fuel when the engine is lightly loaded
Regarding the Dodge Challenger,
Based on the iconic 1970 model, the HEMI-powered concept was designed with the essential attributes of a muscle car — “distinctly American; mega horsepower; pure, minimal, signature lines; aggressive air-grabbing grille; and bold colors and graphics.”
So yeah, modern styled, smooth-lined German and Italian cars are pretty hot… but lets face it, theres much to be said about traditional muscle and the beauty of old school prowess.
