Muslim Cartoons and human rights…
Hmmm, no way to ignore this little bit of politics…
Man, these guys get all upset about a cartoon that was printed depicting someone that is sacred to them in humourous ways. Now call it was it is, freedom of speech, human rights, blah blah blah… After the trouble started some newspapers REPRINTED THE IMAGES claiming that they have a right to :: among other things :: blasphemy…
So here’s where we gotta go back to basics. All things are lawful, but not all things are advantageous. …So said Paul to the Corinthians… If you don’t know who that is then you’re probably not firing on all cylinders…
Anyhoo, point is. Sure, you can tell your girlfriend/wife that she reminds you of her mother, but it’ll cost you your paint job, your playstation, your peace, your golfclubs, your sunday afternoon sports and a weeks nookie. Was it worth it? Uh uh! Now can you imagine you did tell her that and then during all the violence and while your playstation was still on fire you stopped and proceeded to draw a picture of a Putco bus to demonstrate to her what her butt looked like in those pants… Get the picture… ::
So when the incredibly inteligent media moguls saw that their little newspapers were causing the burning of buildings and other destruction, they could have just,,, written,,, an article claiming that they had the rights… Or they could have just,,, apologised,,, to an obviously offended and certainly :: ready to snap :: community of people. B U T N O ! ! ! They have to go REPRINT and even include ADDITIONAL religious figureheads to prove their point… The result :: MORE CARNAGE…
I think the newspapers should have to pay for all the damage that occured after the reprinting of their little pictures, because in this case, yes, they have a right to print and re-print whatever they want, BUT, at what cost to others…
