New Business - Step 1

For a while now I’ve been trying to think of a means of getting a sustained income with a minimal amount of input. Basically put, I’ve been looking to get lots of money for doing nothing.

Basically I’m doing a couple of web design projects on the side and the money is great, but its not consistent enough. I need to know that at the end of each month, I have X amount coming in. I have bills to pay and I unfortunatly don’t have have the luxury of being able to take the plunge into running my own shindig just yet.

Well I’ve managed to come up with somewhat of a business plan and I took step one today.

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to my shiny new webserver

web africa server

The legends at WebAfrica have been kind enough to rent me a decent size start-up webserver. On this baby I have 100mb of space, 50 emails, 10 domains and 10 MySQL DB’s. Marvellous.

So here’s the lowdown.

When you have a site designed, you’re basically paying a) for the site to be designed, b) for the domain registration and c) you pay every month to have the site hosted. Now a lot of smaller companies simply can’t afford R5k or R6k for a properly designed website. As much as they want one, they simply can’t afford it.

Enter The Yellow Llama

Here’s what I’ll do for you…

  • Design a fully compliant, validated website in XHTML and CSS
  • Your site will have a full content management system for you to update your site yourself
  • I’ll host the site for you
  • I’ll even buy the domain for you

…all this for a mere R220 per month.

Peanuts.

If you’re interested, drop me a mail and lets have a chat.

Wish me luck guys…

Yes, I think you have a great deal.

I am an aspiring web designer and currently in the process of drawing up my business plan.
The main challenge is attracting my potential customers, getting as many as I can so to ensure growth of my business, and more sites for you to host.

Do you have any examples of your work Patrick?
