As it I don’t already see 50 blogs a day that post some random content they didn’t make ‘cuz it looked funny. It’s like damn chain emails you get from your mom with pictures of dogs and babies making strange faces. Why don’t I ever see people crying “thief!” when other blogs post a compilation of lolcats or motivational posters or “women can’t drive” pictures they didn’t make that I’ve already seen 50 times on other sites?

Still nobody wants to explain why everyone is crying “Thief”. Read my above comment. Have you NOT already seen 50 other blogs posting compilations of lolcats, demotivational posters, “women can’t drive” pictures and other so-called “funnies” that they didn’t make? What happened here?
Do any of you use Stumbleupon? If so, how many times to you come across a blog post with 10 pages of “EPIC FAIL” pictures of a kid getting his head stuck in a chair or a woman somehow getting her car caught on a powerline. If you’re like me you have seen these before. I have never seen anyone claim thievery.
I think what happened here is one guy cried “Thief!” and everyone else jumped on the bandwagon and now he’s a pathetic lying scumbag. Jake is right, your self-righteousness is annoying.

Sure, maybe “everyone else” is doing it, but is that really a good excuse for you to do it too, especially if it’s wrong? Couldn’t you at /least/ put a little line crediting totallylookslike.com in the actual post?
What irks me is that you seem like you know you were going to be unfairly taking credit from the start…after all, you /did/ take the trouble to cut out portions at the bottom, instead of just putting the re-posting the pictures as-is. You know, the little strip that both explains the comparison and credits the original website?
This is a very nice post and it made me laugh! Internet is always like this and it is nothing bad.

The reason he’s being called a thief is that he doesn’t have any references to what looks like a copy/past post. Even the websites that pull a ton of random pictures from a ton of places give credit to all respectful authors. (at least the good ones do) Especially since, by Stumbling it, we contribute to his/her ad revenues.

LMAO… sorry if I offended anyone by not linking.. But its hard to link to an email in my inbox… I never grabbed these from someone elses website, i just grabbed the pictures from an email I received. Kudos to the guy who originally put them together. If he wanted respect for what he did, I’m sure he would’ve put his watermark on the images. But i’m sure he, like me, just wanted to make some funny pictures and give people a laugh.
