Sahara
Sand for miles and miles
Heat beyond human comprehension
Arid beauty, stifling humidity
Crisp white shirts quickly drenched in sweat
Camels, palm trees, mirages
Silken tents, turbans, Arabs dancing in the night
Rich colours contrast the golden grains upon the ground
Wine red cushions with tassels
Magic carpets with golden threads
Deep purple robes and bare feet
Dusty mustangs snort impatiently
The cold of night creeps up swiftly
But where else do you see the stars so clear?
