Sharing the Pain
A black moth-eaten shawl
Draped over her hunched shoulders
Who was that old woman?
Why does she come here?
A glass poised in her hand
Her face expressionless
Contrasted only by her eyes
Saturated with emotion
As if sensing his gaze
She raises her eyes to his
Gazed locked
The years pass between them
She allowed him to see
All that made her feel
He left the bar that day
Their secrets locked away
