The thing about Evolution
It’s late… I’m on the couch checking out TV2… David Attenborough is talking about the wonders of the sea bed at 3 miles below the surface. There are strange creatures crawling on the sea floor. There’s an 11 Gill Shark whose ancestry dates back millions of years… Some creatures are “marvellous by design”, others adapt and change i.e they evolve! Why and how do they evolve? So the theory basically goes that the strong traits of a species are passed on from generation to generation and the bad traits are eradicated. (Proof that man did not evolve.. in my opinion!) It’s apparently about one improvement at a time. However, evidence points to the fact that changes only occur through mutation, which, itself, occurs because of a small number of errors during DNA replication. Are you sensing a contradiction?
I have to ask evolutionists, to what final destination of perfection are the mutations of life heading for and why? Left to it’s own devices, i.e. out of man’s destructive influence, life thrives and functions in the re-establishment of a perfect eco-system. Enter man, and things go for a ball!
Evolutionists view ID (Intelligent Design) as follows:
“ID, however, has been rejected by the modern scientific community for the same reasons that it failed in the 19th century. When closely examined, the living world is filled with evidence that complex organisms not only could have evolved through evolution’s trial-and-error mechanism, but must have done so, because their structure, their physiology, and even their genetic makeup are all inconsistent with the demands of intelligent design.”
Somebody! Please explain the above quote to me?!?! (rhetorical ET) Are they saying that life can only exist when no intelligent designer interferes with the process? Hypothetically then, if an organism were to change into a new species, what part of that species decides that there was a need to change in the first place? Would not that decision require “intelligence”?
Gosh..
