Top 10 bookmarks you just gotta have

I use bookmarks all the time. If I visit a website more than twice a day, I create a bookmark. They say laziness is the mother of all invention and I’m not ashamed to admit that I agree with that.

Bookmarks = Less typing = Time Saved = Money Saved

So here’s a list of the bookmarks that you just gotta have in your collection. In fact I have a folder called “utilities” and therein are all the bookmarks that I find most handy to have.

  • Ananzi Road Maps - By far the best way to get from point A to point B with the least amount of wrong turns. Tell it where you are and where you want to go to and it’ll map out the whole course which you can then print out. Sweet
  • Currency Calculator - Pretty self explanatory. Helpful when you deal with overseas clients or purchasing stuff on the web.
  • Online Conversion - Ah man this thing rocks. Convert absolutely anything. Weight, distance, time.. anything that has variants in measurements, this thing will convert it for you.
  • White Pages - For South African residents - the white pages online.
  • YellowPages - A little cumbersome to use, but once you get the hang of it, The Yellow Pages online saves having to listen to that kak Telkom music.. ‘you are number 52 in the queue…’
  • Time Zone Converter - Once again with having to deal with overseas clients, its handy to know if you’re phone call is going to be answered with a groggy ‘WTF do you want’ or not…
  • Google It You Moron. - You have those friends that bug you with questions that could be answered on Google in like 10 seconds flat? Send this link to them.
  • Wikipedia - I’m yet to find a topic that Wikipedia DOESN’T have information on. It’s also quite hand to do a Google search for, like, ‘wiki toe jam’. That’ll usually bring up the wikipedia story about toe jam which saves time on loading Wiki and then searching…
  • South African Weather Service - Once again quite self explanatory.
  • Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com - Useful if you don’t have Microsoft Word nearby.

And there you have it… The Yellow Llama’s Top 10 Bookmarks you just gotta have. Feel free to add your own handy shorcuts…
