So I was a bit late in joining the Flickr clan, but eventually I got on the band wagon and got flickd. Eventually, some one got the wagon moving (and I’ve jumped timeously onboard), for video sharing & uploading. Enter Vimeo. A wickedly beautiful design, combining a clean and easy to navigate site that has all the functionality of a swiss army knife and the ease of use of toilet paper.
It’s brilliant use of Ajax makes for fast loading time without having to refresh the page each time. I uploaded a 7mb video in just over 1minute so their servers are clearly managing quite well so far. Awesomely, it also interacts with Flickr and will upload a thumbnail of the video to your Flickr account. Lovely.
Check my first uploaded video… Rhys, didn’t have so much as a single beer in him when he was persuaded to imitate the birth of a baby rhino.
…but I digress. Big ups to the boys at CVLabs. Never heard of you before, but impressed to see some of the sites that I frequent under your belt. 10 points. Dont spend them all in one place.
