Weekend Blues
Well its Sunday morning and I have a headache that could cripple a small country. No, it wasn’t due to last nights debauchery fun evening at yet another successful Fireklub event. Rather its due to my inability to overcome this niggling headcold. Damn my weak immune system.
Fireklub last night was incredible, naturally. The wind unfortunately forced the fires to be downsized because of the resulting spark showers. But nonetheless the bands and shows were brilliant. I was quite impressed and taken-aback by a 12 year old girl who was singing Shakira and Dido cover versions…really cool. I mean she wasn’t close to the real thing, but for a 12 year old, it was pretty good.
The evening did have a hilarious twist thanks to a muppet who decided not to wear underpants and to sport low cut jeans. Naturally the resulting ‘crack’ display was enough to nauxiate a surgeon. We all resisted the urge to stick things into the void and see how much sand we could fit inside and instead cracked made jokes that even he could hear… *sigh*.. good times.
I discovered my long-lost pool playing ability and enjoyed beating a friend of mine 5 games to nothing… Marvellous.
Please excuse me now and I continue gingerly sipping my green tea in the hopes of calming the oompa-loompa’s inside my head…
