Weird Sports

I stumbled across an article on PimpsR.us regarding probably one of the weirdest/coolest/strangest/most idiotic sports yet…depending on how you look at it.

Remember when we were kids, and a trip to the public urinal/swimming pool was a family event? Once you and your mates got tired of giving each other wet wedgies and playing the the pool noodle, you all eventually ending up having ‘bombing’ competitions. Water bombing that is… You’d try get the highest splash. Each person had their own trademark dive/flop into the water. Sometimes it was successful and you’d clear out the pool and leave small children in the trees around the pool. Other times however you’d hear the unmistakable clap of flesh on water and know that the games were over and someone was going home crying.

Well check out this video. I’m not sure where its taken from, but they’ve made an official sport out of making the biggest splashes. Clearly the sport has evolved quite a bit cos the video shows the champ and his splash has gotta be pushing 6 or 7 metres. Please be aware that for some or other reason, the camera man followed the guy up the ladder to the diving board…he was wearing one of those hot-pants-speedo efforts… Be warned… *shudder*

I know here in South Africa there’s that competition where they spit goat crap…furtherest spit wins…
